Homesteaders Presents Next Generation Assurance Products

Des Moines, Iowa
— Homesteaders today announced the launch of its all-new Assurance product line. For two decades the Homesteaders Assurance product line has been a mainstay for pre-need programs in funeral homes across the country.

Since the launch of Assurance 1 in 1991, the needs of funeral home owners and the marketplace have greatly changed. The new product line addresses the changing product mix in addition to a desire to return to more simple and flexible products.

Commenting on the company's redesigned product suite, Executive VP-Sales & Service Lyndon Peterson points to a guiding factor in creating it: “We set out to create simple and effective products that meet our funeral home customers’ need to provide secure pre-need funding options for the families they serve. We never forget that Homesteaders exists to pay claims. The long-term security of our funeral home customers and policy owners is always top-of-mind.”

Product features include compound or simple growth options and affordable premiums. The new product line also features reduced complexity, making it easy to determine which product will meet any funeral home owner or pre-need manager’s needs. Casket price protection and PartnerPoints® are still available, further differentiating Homesteaders in the pre-need insurance funding marketplace.

Effective June 1, 2012 Homesteaders customers will be able to choose from the new lineup: Assurance Active, Assurance Balanced and Assurance Protect. The older Assurance products will no longer be available after December 31, 2012.
