Due to the flooding and weather-related conditions from Hurricane Michael, Homesteaders has implemented emergency relief measures for policy owners in the following Florida counties: Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Hamilton, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor, Wakulla and Washington. We hope this effort will ease some of the burden for those impacted by the storm.

Effective until January 7, 2019, Homesteaders is extending the normal 30-day premium grace period contained in our policies as follows: Any Homesteaders policy insuring a Florida resident in the counties listed above that might otherwise lapse during this period due to non-payment of premium will remain in full force and effect. In addition, Homesteaders is extending special consideration for other processes that impose a time limit for an affected insured or claimant to perform any act, including the submission of claim or other requirements.
