Who I am

King Family PortraitI have been with Homesteaders my entire professional career…46 years, and I wouldn’t change a thing! I joined Homesteaders in 1972, as a policy typist - that’s correct - this was before computers, I actually typed the face-page of our policies! After experiencing success in a variety of departments, I was thrilled when the chance to lead the Account Executive Home Office team became available. I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to apply my customer service and communication skills to help my funeral home customers achieve success. I live in Grimes, Iowa, with my husband, Larry (no, not that Larry King) and our two cats, Bailey and Kahlua. I am a member of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association, the International Customer Service Association, Toastmasters, Model T Ford Club and a passionate volunteer for Camp Heart Connection. I enjoy exercising and spending time with my large family and friends.

Why I joined Homesteaders
