Due to the impact of these storms, Homesteaders will extend leniency to affected policy owners in the following counties in North Carolina: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey, as well as the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians of North Carolina.
Effective until December 1, 2024, Homesteaders is extending the normal 30-day premium grace period contained in our policies as follows: Any Homesteaders policy insuring a resident noted above that might otherwise lapse during this period due to non-payment of premium will remain in full force and effect. In addition, Homesteaders is extending special consideration for other time-sensitive processes, such as claims or policy service requests.
