Who I am

Allen Family PortraitI graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Commercial Art. I began my career in the insurance industry with American General Life and Accident, joining with Homesteaders in 1999. I have been married to my wife Holly for more than 20 years and we have two children — Rachel and Matthew. We are lifelong residents of East Tennessee and currently live in Jonesborough, the state’s oldest city.

Why I joined Homesteaders

Homesteaders Home OfficeI began working with funeral home owners earlier in my insurance career, helping them file claims. As I was helping one owner who wasn’t happy with the time it was taking, he told me his pre-need insurance company paid right away. He showed me the Homesteaders claim check and offered wise advice: “You should check into these guys.” I became a believer in pre-need and now, here I am; helping hundreds of funeral home owners grow and succeed with Homesteaders!

What I do

I provide support and marketing solutions to funeral home customers. Homesteaders has provided me resources, training and tools that allow me to create success plans tailored to the help my funeral home customers reach their goals for success. I listen, I ask questions, and together – using our combined knowledge, creativity and resources – we create solutions. This is my commitment to you!
