Who I Am

I joined the Army right out of high school and served three years as a radio operator in Fort Carson, CO and Camp Carroll, Korea. After my tour I went to UW Madison and studied business. I joined with Homesteaders in the fall of 2001 after moving back from Kansas City when I found out my mom was diagnosed with cancer.

I have a daughter who lives in Atlanta. My hobbies include ice fishing and snowboarding in the winter and lake activities in the summer. You will see me from time to time, cruising the back roads of southwestern Wisconsin on my moped!

Why I Joined Homesteaders

At first it sounded like a good job that I could fit into, but the more I learned of the culture and passion of the company, it was an environment that has become a career. After the passing of my mother in 2004, I truly understood the value of preplanning and it became something I really believed in. What my funeral home customers do is important, and I believe what I do has value to them and consumers.

What I Do

I know from my personal experience and from working with successful funeral homes in Wisconsin that advance funeral planning is important to the future of funeral service. Capturing the buying habits of today’s consumer is something that every funeral home should strive for; consumers may find they need it at different times and for different reasons, but once they learn it is available they are glad they did!

I love exposing my funeral home customers to new ideas or helping them make their ideas and dreams reality, using my years of experience working with funeral homes across the state. Homesteaders invests in studying consumer and funeral industry trends to help me be of value to the funeral home customers I serve. I am fortunate to have many resources to bring forth for the sake of my customers’ success!
