How to Plan a Successful Community Presentation
Finding new ways to market your funeral home can sometimes be frustrating, especially if you’ve tried ideas in the past that didn’t provide an immediate return on your efforts. One approach that ...
I’m a licensed funeral director and certified preplanning consultant, and have dedicated the past 30 years of my life to the funeral profession. Before joining Homesteaders, I managed a pre-need program and helped it grow through programs for Veterans and relationship-building community events.
I have an associate’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University and a degree in Mortuary Science from Northampton Community College. I’m also a Notary Public and have earned awards such as the NFDA Professional Women's Conference Scholarship and the NFDA Professional Development Scholarship.
My family and I are longtime residents of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. I find that I think best when I am physically active, and enjoy snowboarding in the winter and waterskiing in the summer. I also run and lift year-round. To help feed my creative side, I make stained glass windows and work on embroidery.
I decided to join Homesteaders for many reasons. When I attended the NFDA Professional Women’s Conference, I learned that Homesteaders is a major contributor to education and development programs for funeral professionals. Homesteaders has been successful within the funeral profession and I appreciate companies that give back. Homesteaders also has a fabulous team and a positive, friendly culture.
Because I’ve dedicated so much of my professional life to funeral service, I have a lot of experience to share. My previous role in growing and maintaining a pre-need program has given me a solid foundation for analyzing the needs of my funeral home customers.
I am very excited to work with funeral professionals, and I’m ready to hear about your concerns and goals. I look forward to working together to help you identify and implement solutions to help your businesses grow.
