West Des Moines, Iowa — Homesteaders Life Company Executive Vice President and General Counsel Marla Lacey is excited to announce that Danette Kobolt has joined the company as Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel. In her new role, Kobolt will be responsible for overseeing all corporate compliance programs and analyzing the incorporation of applicable laws and regulations into the company’s business operations.

“Danette’s extensive experience in regulatory compliance, corporate governance and enterprise risk management make her an exceptional addition to our leadership team,” Lacey said. “Her background in both federal and state regulatory compliance, coupled with her work in the mutual insurance industry, positions her well to lead Homesteaders’ compliance initiatives. Kobolt brings nearly two decades of regulatory compliance and legal experience in both the federal and state government as well as in the mutual insurance industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northern Iowa, an MBA from Drake University and a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
