If you would like additional assistance with forms, please contact our customer service team at (800) 477-3633. Our business hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday (Central time).
You can pay for the entire insurance policy up front (Single Payment Option), which provides you with a paid-up policy, or, depending on certain qualifying factors, you may be able to pay for the policy over a number of years (such as three, five or 10 years).
Homesteaders offers an early pay-off option. Additional fees may apply based on when your final payment is received in our office. We recommend that you refer to the welcome letter enclosed with your insurance policy regarding the terms of our early pay-off option.
Changes to your funeral plan may also require changes to your Homesteaders insurance policy. We recommend that you first contact the funeral home to discuss any changes you wish to make to your funeral plan. They will then contact Homesteaders to determine how these changes may impact your insurance policy.
We will gladly consider restoring your coverage if your policy has lapsed. If it has been less than 120 days (four months) since the last premium was due, simply mail a check or money order to our Home Office in Des Moines, Iowa. Please include a note with the policy number, insured’s name, address and telephone number along with your payment.
If it has been longer than 120 days since your last premium was due, a reinstatement application is also required along with your payment for the past due amount. This form can be downloaded and printed directly from our website under the Policy Owner Forms page.
Please note that we are not able to restore your coverage until all past due premium and the reinstatement application is received and approved in our Home Office.
