Who do I contact for information about my Homesteaders policy?
Please contact our Customer Service team toll free at 800-477-3633. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. (Central time).
What are my payment options with Homesteaders?

You can pay for the entire insurance policy up front (Single Payment Option), which provides you with a paid-up policy, or, depending on certain qualifying factors, you may be able to pay for the policy over a number of years (such as three, five or 10 years).

If I choose the multiple payment option, can I decide to pay off the policy at a later date?

Homesteaders offers an early pay-off option. Additional fees may apply based on when your final payment is received in our office. We recommend that you refer to the welcome letter enclosed with your insurance policy regarding the terms of our early pay-off option.

What if I want to make a change to my funeral plan?

Changes to your funeral plan may also require changes to your Homesteaders insurance policy. We recommend that you first contact the funeral home to discuss any changes you wish to make to your funeral plan. They will then contact Homesteaders to determine how these changes may impact your insurance policy.

When I purchased my Homesteaders policy, I specified that I want my pre-authorized check withdrawal to occur on the fifth day of each month. Sometimes the actual withdrawal date is after that. Why?
Homesteaders sends the withdrawal requests to the bank on the fifth day of each month. If the fifth day falls on a weekend or holiday, the request is sent on the next business day. However, due to bank processing, the withdrawal may not post to your account until one to three days later.
The insured died before the policy was fully paid, and the face amount didn’t cover the funeral cost even though the funeral home guaranteed the price at the time arrangements were made. What happened?

Based on the information you provided on the Homesteaders insurance application/enrollment form, the death benefit may be limited or reduced for a period of time. If death occurs within the limitation period, your funeral plan may not be fully funded. In this case, your family may be obligated to pay the difference. For more information, refer to the Schedule of Insurance printed in your policy pages regarding any benefit limitations.
