Vincent Michaelsen

Who I Am

I earned a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University and attended the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service before beginning my career in the funeral profession. While I enjoyed the at-need side of the business, I quickly realized my talent and passion for the funeral profession were on the preneed side. In 2005, I joined a preneed agency and spent seven years writing preneed while helping funeral homes design plans to grow their preneed and at-need business. In my time at Homesteaders, I’ve received the Rising Star Award, the Account Executive of the Year Award for the West Region, and the Account Executive of the Year for the company.

I was born and raised in Texas, and I’m very proud of it. My entire family is in Texas and has been for generations. I now live in San Antonio, where I keep myself busy spending time outdoors, hunting and playing guitar. I have two grown children – Samantha and Seth – who also live in the San Antonio area.

I joined the Homesteaders family because of their singular commitment to the success of funeral service, their passion for their customers and their allegiance to the families their customers serve. I am proud to be a member of such a service-oriented company that has been in the preneed business for more than 100 years.

What I Do

I enjoy working with funeral homes to create and implement plans to help them reach their preneed goals. I care about their business as if it were my business. I find out what my customers want and need and give them first-class service.
