New Year, New Website

This week, you’ll notice a new look at Although we’re continuously improving our website, it’s been several years since our last major design update. We’re excited to welcome 2020 by introducing a redesigned website that will allow us to better communicate and connect with the tens of thousands of people who visit it each year.

The primary focus of the redesign is to ensure the website is user-friendly in terms of access to, and consumption of, the content. We know you turn to Homesteaders for business insights, resources, course registration and much more, and we’ve taken these objectives into account with the new design – both in the subtler updates and the more noticeable changes. The result is a website that is easier to navigate, more accessible regardless of device used and convenient for visitors with a variety of needs.

One of the most exciting aspects of the updated website is that it has been designed with usability in mind. We’ve incorporated web accessibility features (using standards set by Web Content Accessibility 2.0 Level AA) to make the website information and functionality simple to navigate and interact with. That means the choices we’ve made for the site, from the color palette to the content structure, are intended to provide the best possible experience.

Here are just a few of the things you can do on the Homesteaders website:

  • Easily manage your preneed business.
Our updated website provides quick access to the resources you rely on to manage and grow your preneed business. For example, you’ll find the login link for the myHomesteaders® dashboard prominently located in the top navigation.

  • Access policy owner resources.
The policy owner resource pages offer information and tools for your pre-need client families — our policy owners and their authorized representatives. Download frequently used documents on the policy owner forms page, make a credit/debit card payment and more.

  • Get funeral business insights.
Our new resources page for funeral professionals provides exclusive research reports, white papers, eBooks and many other insights to help you navigate competitive and operational challenges to achieve business success. Plus, the redesigned Homesteaders Blog page makes new and popular content easier to find.

  • Learn about continuing education, training and events.
Our high-quality continuing education classes can help you meet your state requirements and sharpen your professional skills. The schedule and registration details for 2020 training opportunities and events happening throughout the profession will be posted soon – keep watching for more updates!

  • Sign up for our burnout prevention resources.
Homesteaders has collaborated with Dr. Jason Troyer to create the highly lauded Finding Resilience program. These resources can help you cope with difficult situations and find the joy in the important work you do.

The launch of this redesigned website is just the start of the exciting improvements at This update will also allow us to more easily adjust and adapt the website, continuing to add new insights and resources that are easier to find and relevant to the needs of busy funeral professionals.

Here’s to more great things to come in 2020 and beyond – happy new year!
